Lebanese Easter is incomplete without Maamoul!

Making Maamoul (traditional Easter sweets) is a big deal in Lebanon. As per Local traditions, all family members crowd together in the kitchen during the Holy week in order to bake the yummiest pastries filled with dates, pistachios and walnuts.

These buttery cookies are the perfect reward after Lent!

But of course, not everyone makes their own home made Maamoul, thus almost all pastry shops becomes a veritable factory competing to deliver the best flavored cookies!
